Job Description

Position Overview



The Restorative Care Therapist reports to the Programs Manager and is responsible for providing therapy services to residents under the direction of the Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and the supervision of the designated lead and if applicable provides Nursing Restorative Services under the direction of the Charge Nurse and the supervision of the designated lead.





Qualifications


Has successfully completed a training program in restorative care or is enrolled in such a program, or has successfully completed relevant training course provided at the Home by a qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.

Experience working in long-term care setting

Committed to promoting residents' well- being

Ability to develop, implement and evaluate programs

Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Computer literate

CPR and First Aid qualifications

Knowledge of RAI-MDS - AIS certified, if not must be completed successfully within one (1) year of being hired.
