As a Restoration Technician at Saskatoon Fire and Flood, you will play a critical role as the first responder to commercial and residential properties when disasters strike. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Emergency flood service
Use moisture testing equipment and proper scoping techniques to lay drying protocols and moisture mapping plans
Ensure site protection is installed properly
Fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization,
Content cleaning, pack out and storage, and other specialized cleaning both on-site and in the shop
Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans, or other production materials/instructions
Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are upheld.
Handle demolition, debris removal, and disposal of damaged materials
Organize and arrange appropriate equipment and materials needed to mitigate damage
Requirements:
A copy of your driver's license and criminal record check are required upon hire.
Training to be provided, if required for the applicable applicant
Certification and training are encouraged (WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Arrest, etc.).
Physically fit and can lift 23 kg (50 lbs.).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Working collaboratively with the abatement team.
Compliance with Saskatoon Fire and Flood's health and safety protocols.
Individuals must have their own CSA-approved steel-toed boots. All other personal protective equipment is provided by Saskatoon Fire and Flood.
Able to meet deadlines while working alone and in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
