Duties
Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving meals, and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, following food safety protocols
Collaborate with kitchen staff in menu planning and meal preparation to create innovative dishes
Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling practices are followed
Support catering events as needed, including setup, service, and cleanup
Utilize knife skills effectively for food preparation tasks
Participate in training sessions on food safety and sanitation practices
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Familiarity with dietary department operations or as a dietary aide is a plus
Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is highly valued
Experience in the food industry or culinary field will be beneficial
Strong understanding of food handling practices and safety regulations
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
