We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our vibrant dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, showcasing exceptional leadership and customer service skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
Manage staff through effective team management, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
Utilize POS systems (including Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction processing.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Conduct regular staff meetings to promote teamwork and enhance communication among team members.
Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers while retaining existing clientele.
Maintain knowledge of current trends in the food industry to innovate menu offerings.
Experience
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong background in food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
Previous experience in interviewing potential candidates for restaurant positions is preferred.
