Our pizzeria is looking for an energetic, dedicated and experienced kitchen supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. Compensation is $50-55k per year base salary as well as health benefits plus a share in tips. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our restaurant runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining high standards of food quality and service. The supervisor will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties/Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Execution and preparation of existing menu items
Utilize POS systems for cash handling and sales tracking.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed in compliance with regulations.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including cleaning tables, floors, and surfaces as needed, as well as proper storage of food items.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use.
Operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Development and upkeep of all Food Safety Plans
Maintaining inventory records of food, supplies and equipment. Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes according to recipes and specifications.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Covering for hourly staff in the event of illness, injury or unforeseen circumstances
Handle guest inquiries, issues, and requests with professionalism and attention to detail.
Provide excellent service, engaging with guests in a positive, professional manner.
Address and resolve kitchen-related issues or customer concerns promptly.
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the food industry is preferred, as well as leadership experience in a commercial kitchen.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
