Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, to ensure efficient service. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Manage guest requests and inquiries with professionalism, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments, to uphold sanitation standards. Assist in food preparation as needed while following proper food handling procedures.

Experience

Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
