Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS. Provide detailed menu information and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation. Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and providing change as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards before serving. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, including restaurant experience. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members. Previous experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous but not required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to hospitality and guest services.
