Friendly Fast Foods Inc., dba A&W McMurray Group of Companies is seeking an Operation Specialist for the Northern BC & Yukon markets.

Position Base Salary: $53,500 per annum

Total Potential Compensation: $74,725 per annum

Available Bonus:

• Quarterly Performance Bonus of 15% of Salary

ROLE

Main Function:

The Operations Specialist has responsibility for ensuring that the A&W McMurray Group restaurants are operated to industry leading standards and that the delivery of the customer experience is a competitive strength for our company. Their primary responsibility is to support the area manager to ensure that our restaurants achieve operational, financial and people development targets.

Scope:

The Operations Specialist, in conjunction with the Area Manager, Restaurant Manager and Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for ensuring a high standard of operations excellence among our restaurants. As such it is an asset that the Operations Specialist has operated an A&W restaurant to a very high level as confirmed by high scores on RPRs, BCAs and FCSs. Additionally, it is important that the Operations Specialist has a strong understanding of the restaurant P&L and can make use of the tools available to assist Restaurant Managers in managing the profit and loss statement. Additionally, the Operations Specialist will be called upon to assist in situations where we are temporarily without a Restaurant Manager or where extra management is temporarily required.

The position requires excellent communication skills, well developed relationship-building, training and coaching skills and a desire and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and the ability and willingness to do up to 60% overnight travel are required. If not already residing in the area, relocation to a mutually agreed upon location in the area would be expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that restaurants are meeting service time goals by organizing and executing OS2 re-launches and Faster Tune-ups
• With direction from the Area Manager, ensure restaurants achieve outstanding results on all guest metrics.
• Assist in training new Restaurant Managers, Assistants and Supervisors as directed by the Area Manager.
• Develop effective working relationships with Area Mangers, Restaurant Managers and Restaurant teams.
• Assist with any new restaurant openings within the McMurray Group.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership
• Demonstrated skill in running a profitable restaurant with high operating standards
• Expertise in all restaurant positions
• Complete knowledge of the operating system and operating standards
• High interest in developing others
• Ability to complete accounting and administrative aspects of the operation
• Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Willingness to travel up to 20 days per month in all weather conditions (assuring reasonable safety)

PREFERED SKILLS

• Acceptable oral and written communication skills
• Competency in MS365 for Business, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to give presentations
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
