We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. A background in food preparation, hospitality, and team supervision is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness
Supervise and train staff members, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Handle cash handling, POS transactions (including Micros POS), and daily financial reporting
Maintain high standards of customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
Coordinate kitchen activities, including food handling, cooking, and ensuring quality standards are met
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Lead team management efforts to foster a positive work environment and motivate staff
Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
Implement marketing strategies to promote the restaurant's offerings
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles
Strong background in food industry operations, including food service, food safety, and kitchen experience
Supervising experience with a focus on team management and development
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Experience in interviewing and hiring staff members
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
