Respite Worker

Job Description
As a respite worker, you will serve as the primary caregiver for vulnerable children with autism ages 3-18. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily activities like eating, drinking, and hygiene, ensuring their safety and comfort, and communicating any concerns to the center and the parents.
Qualifications and Skills
One year of childcare experience would be an asset. A degree in psychology or a related field or a diploma in a behavioural science program would be an asset. Candidate must have a valid Ontario driver's license, a vehicle and be willing to travel throughout GTA, York Region, and Durham Region. First Aid and CPR certifications Proven attendance record. Ability to perform the essential duties of the job. Caring, patient, friendly and professionally. Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging environment. Other languages would be an asset.
