ConnectWell Community Health is seeking Respite Workers for our Saturday Social Programs. We are seeking educated, caring, and motivated individuals who have experience supporting children and youth with Autism and other special needs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in one of the Social Sciences or related experience (or working towards)
IBI/ABA experience would be an asset as well as CPI training
Provide a safe, fun and stimulating experience for individuals with special needs
Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative. Follow directive from Program Lead and/or Supervisor.
Good communication skills
First Aid - Training (can be provided)
Flexibility in completion of job-related tasks such as following behaviour plans, providing toileting support and light housekeeping tasks
Reporting Relationship:
The successful candidate will report to the Recreation & Youth Transition Coordinator.
