Please note: This position is for casual evening and weekend respite shifts in the Grande Prairie area.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide respite care for children and youth aged 2 to 17 years
Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal grooming
Administer medications following healthcare provider instructions
Prepare and serve meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Support clients with mobility, transfers, and lifting as needed
Have experience with G-tube feeding
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
Plan and facilitate engaging activities that align with clients' interests and abilities
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in similar support roles
Knowledge of medication administration procedures
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and mobility assistance
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, caring, and respectful attitude toward clients
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy
Requirements:
Valid First Aid Certification minimum- Standard CPR Level C
Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check completed within the last 6 months
CFS Intervention Check completed within the last 6 months
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
