Support Worker - Respite Care

We are seeking support staff for 2 children that is available to work Before and after-school hours, Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15-5-15pm and Friday's from 3:45-5:45pm. as well as during PD days, days when the child is not in school, and school holidays.

Main Responsibilities:

Have experience with G-tube feeding

Deliver respite care for children and youth aged 2 to 17 years Assist with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and personal grooming Administer medications in accordance with healthcare provider instructions Prepare and serve meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Perform light housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Support with mobility, transfers, and lifting as require Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Plan and facilitate engaging activities suited to clients' interests and abilities

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in similar support roles Knowledge of medication administration procedures Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and mobility assistance Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, caring, and respectful attitude towards clients Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy

Requirements:

Valid First Aid Certification Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check completed within the last 6 months CFS Intervention Check completed within the last 6 months Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
