Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Support Worker to provide essential support to our daughter. This role involves offering temporary relief to primary caregivers, ensuring that clients receive the necessary care and attention in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our 15 year old creative daughter.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with daily living activities in their homes or community settings. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions. Assist individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate parties. Collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

Previous experience in patient care, home care, or caregiving is preferred. Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities Knowledge of medication administration protocols is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week
