Respite Support Worker - Part-Time
Location: In-person
Pay: 18.00-$20.00 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting children and youth with diverse needs? We're hiring Respite Support Workers to join our caring and committed team. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide hands-on care while gaining valuable experience in healthcare and disability services.

What You'll Do

Provide one-on-one care for clients aged 2-17
Assist with daily routines: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and bedtime/morning care
Plan and participate in engaging activities (e.g., park visits, swimming, community outings)
Administer medications as directed
Prepare meals and accommodate dietary needs
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment
Support mobility and physical transfers, including heavy lifting
Offer companionship and emotional support

What We're Looking For

Experience in caregiving or similar roles
Knowledge of medication administration
Physically capable of lifting and assisting with mobility
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and respectful of client privacy

Requirements

First Aid & CPR Certification (required)
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 6 months - required)
Child and Family Services (CFS) Intervention Check (within 6 months - required)
Valid Driver's License, Driver's Abstract, and $2M Liability Insurance (required)
NVCI training is an asset
