Your Opportunity:The Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) is one of Alberta's largest and longest-serving hospitals. Centrally located in Edmonton's downtown core, the RAH serves a diverse community, including some of our province's most vulnerable populations. They operate 869 beds and care for approximately 450,000 patients annually. The RAH is home to the Lois Hole Hospital for Women and Women's Health Centre, the Regional Eye Centre, and the Aboriginal Health program, in addition to a wide range of child, adult and geriatric programs and services. Within the guidelines and policies set down by Respiratory Therapy Services, the Respiratory Therapist I will provide respiratory care to patients as an Adult Regularized Relief within the department.Description:As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
