An exciting opportunity exists to grow your skills and join a dynamic team within the Cross Cancer Centre (CCI). The CCI is currently recruiting a Respiratory Therapist I (RRT) to join our patient focused ambulatory and inpatient services. The RRT will work independently in assessing oncology/hematology patients in developing a care plan. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide recommendations and support to the different departments at the site (Systemic Treatment area, OR, inpatients, Radiation Therapy, Diagnostic Imaging, Outpatient clinics and Pulmonary Function Lab). Experience with pediatrics and adults would be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Code Team at the CCI. The RRT will have acute care skillsets and experience in performing pulmonary function tests. The CCI provides comprehensive cancer services for Edmonton and Northern Alberta. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
