Your Opportunity:Looking for an adventure in the North, want to work in a vibrant growing city of 65,000 people. Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is one of the newest northern facilities to be built in the last couple of years. It supports not only GP residence but many of the surrounding towns, inclusive of BC residence close to the Alberta / BC border. GP is only 4.5 hours\' drive from the capital city of Edmonton and has a small airport to connect to the larger centers as well. There are activities for every season with many cultural and diverse opportunities to take part in if desired. GP is a young family and sports orientated city supported by multiple business and opportunities. Our team is a close group made up of Cardiology / Respiratory / EEG and PFT trained specialists. We are always working to provide the best possible care for clients, support our community and maximize our scope of practice to serve others in need. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.Description:As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
