About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values
and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures
continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,
understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.


Reporting to the Manager of Cardio/Respiratory, the Respiratory Therapy Aide (RT Aide) is responsible for
various support functions within the Cardio/Respiratory Service including reprocessing equipment, stocking
units, transporting medical gas cylinders, and preparing patients for stress testing.


Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 Diploma Must have health care (clinical) related training Minimum 2 years experience as an Respiratory Aide preferred Able to work with minimal supervision Possess strong interpersonal and organization skills Medical terminology and courses in cardio/pulmonary anatomy and physiology preferred Strong commitment to Patient and Family Centred Care Salary Range: $27.728 to 28.174
