  • Work to support the development and implementation of equity, diversity and inclusion programs, projects, initiatives and events at the Calgary Fire Department (CFD).

  • Support the development of participant engagement and change management plans for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) projects and initiatives including Camp Courage Calgary.

  • Review policies, procedures, websites, programs for inclusive language and images and informs decision making. Conducts research to support the development of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion training related to culture and cross-cultural competence and understanding the citizens we serve.

  • Support the development of EDI learning content for CFD staff.





Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work or a related field.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) is required.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with participants and contributors.

  • Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Can work well independently.


Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2023.

  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Location: 4144 11th Street SE




Compensation: $26.63 per hour

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.




Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
