The Duke of Marlborough School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school located in Churchill, Manitoba with approximately 120 students. This historic, dynamic community with a population of nearly 1,000 people has all modern services and facilities. The facilities are unique in that the hockey rink, curling rink, swimming pool, bowling alley, community gymnasium, indoor playground, hospital and theatre are in the same community complex as the school. Known as the polar bear capital of the world, Churchill is one of Manitoba's top tourist destinations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree and preferably a Master's Degree in Education or related field Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for) Manitoba Special Education certificate or certification in progress Previous experience as a Resource Teacher Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life Excellent understanding of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction Knowledge and training in formal and informal assessment Familiar with appropriate educational programming Ability to complete provincial documentation requirements for appropriate educational programming Ability to interpret educational and cognitive assessments Willingness to be trained in intervention programs presently in place A commitment to continue to support on-going programs in the school Strong verbal and written communication skills
