Resource Development Coordinator

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Fund Development & Fundraising
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for unrestricted funding
Coordinate donor campaigns, including major gifts, direct mail, and Board-led initiatives
Research and pursue grants from public, private, corporate, and foundation sources
Plan and support solicitation drives and fundraising projects
Donor & Major Gift Stewardship
Design and manage donor stewardship and "moves management" practices
Prepare donor communications, acknowledgements, and personalized correspondence
Schedule and participate in donor meetings and relationship-building activities
Planned Giving
Design and manage CSC's Planned Giving Program
Engage legal, accounting, and financial professionals to promote legacy giving
Track and report on pending bequests and legacy gifts
Development & Community Relations
Support the creation of annual reports, social media content, and donor communications
Coordinate CSC and third-party fundraising and development events
Strengthen CSC's public image and community presence
Data, Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate donor and prospect records (digital and paper)
Generate reports, queries, and financial tracking related to fundraising
Work closely with Finance to ensure reporting accuracy and accountability
Coordinate donor campaigns, including major gifts, direct mail, and Board-led initiatives
Research and pursue grants from public, private, corporate, and foundation sources
Plan and support solicitation drives and fundraising projects
What We're Looking For (Required & Preferred Qualifications)
Required
Minimum
3 years' experience
in fundraising or resource development (nonprofit preferred)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Knowledge of fundraising, sponsorship, and donor engagement strategies
Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
Assets
Experience with CanadaHelps, SurveyMonkey, or similar fundraising platforms
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media tools
Basic digital design skills
Experience planning inclusive and accessible events
Familiarity with Waterloo Region venues, vendors, and community networks
