Your opportunity

Our Oakville office is looking for a Resource Coordinator to join the our rapidly growing consulting office. The individual will own the following responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact for resource oversight, conflict resolution, and development of solutions in support of business goals
  • Work with Project Managers and Partners to identify appropriate resource requirements for larger projects
  • Review project budgets to ensure proper resource bill rates are leveraged and are recovered efficiently throughout the project
  • Identify skills gaps within resources and make recommendations for training and development to meet the needs of the service lines
  • Ensure resource skills database is maintained
  • Manages and resolves resource scheduling conflicts with project managers
  • Identify opportunities where under-utilized resources can be leveraged in other areas of the Consulting group based on the resource's skills
  • Work directly with the Consulting Director of Operations, to discuss all active programs and potential new business as well as to stay informed of potential issues such as resource and change control matters
  • Identifies need for talent and works with Human Resources to recruit accordingly when needed
  • Identify potential resourcing or process issues and present to leadership with resolutions to such issues where applicable
  • Recommend process improvements for Resource Management
  • Work directly with the business to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members

Your experience and education
  • 2+ years resource management or project management experience in professional services environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Workday experience a plus
  • Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
  • Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups
  • Proven success in managing multiple and fast-moving projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of data management and all related terminology an asset
