Four Seasons Resort Whistler is located at the foot of Blackcomb and Whistler. The resort is a five-minute walk to the ski lifts and a 10-minute stroll to the village center, making it the perfect location for a rustic adventure any time of year.

Our guest rooms are spacious, beautifully re-styled in December, 2019, the refurbished rooms and suites pay close attention to the unique placement of Whistler \xe2\x80\x93 a secluded retreat, just an hour and a half away from the international destination of Vancouver.

In December 2020, we completed a property-wide enhancement with the launch of Braidwood Tavern, a craft kitchen and social house conceived in collaboration with celebrated chef and restauranteur Richard Sandoval, along with a re-imagined SIDECUT Steakhouse, both designed by Box Interior Design.

The role Overview: RAM

The Resort Assistant Manager works hand in hand with the Front Desk Manager ensuring an exceptional guest experience for all. Will assist with overseeing the guest and employee experience. They will work closely with the team members and Managers from all departments to assure that standards are being met. The Resort Assistant Manager responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons\xe2\x80\x99 policies. Is expected to be on shift 5 days per week for 8 hours per day, dependent on operational demands.

This is a pivotal role in the Resort that is ideally suited to an experienced hospitality professional looking to develop their career. Will be covering Manager on duty roles, a key role in the operation, overseeing the Hotel, from safety and security issues, to managing guest difficult situations and/or employees.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the activities at the Front Office during day, Afternoon or Night Shifts.

Assist management team with training and providing feedback to team when needed.

Ensures communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.

Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.

Follow up on billing requirements and assure that all financial and credit procedures are followed.

Checks guest in and out in an efficient and friendly manner.

Supervise that our Team meets Forbes and LQA Standards

Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Assists with responsibilities and duties as required throughout the hotel.

Acts in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees without requiring special direction. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

Who You Are

At least High School diploma - College Degree Preferred.

2+ years of previous Rooms Division supervisory or management experience required.

Experience in a luxury resort highly preferred.

Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.

Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a small team.

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.

Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.

Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
