Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The Journeyperson Plumber will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks. Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with HVAC technicians to integrate plumbing systems with heating and cooling systems as needed. Perform carpentry work related to plumbing installations or repairs. Execute heavy lifting tasks when necessary for the installation or removal of plumbing fixtures. Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites and ensure a clean work environment. Engage in welding tasks as required for specific plumbing projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a plumber with a valid journeyman/journeywoman license or equivalent certification. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and various construction equipment. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations. Experience in carpentry is advantageous for completing related tasks.
