Wiidookodaadiwin Services provides live-in care for children and youth across British Columbia. We are committed to trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and compassionate support. Our team works closely with families, communities, and partners to help young people reconnect with their strengths, identities, and cultural roots.
What You'll Do
Support children and youth with assessments, goal setting, and long-term planning
Teach life skills, social skills, and healthy routines through modelling and daily activities
Ensure safety and well-being in a staffed residential setting
Provide trauma-informed counselling using evidence-informed approaches
Offer emotional support, coping strategies, and crisis intervention (including non-violent physical intervention when required)
Maintain communication between the group home, school, family, and community supports
Assist with hygiene, meals, and medication administration following agency guidelines
Complete accurate documentation (logbooks, activity notes, incident reports, etc.)
Help with daily household tasks--cooking, cleaning, and creating a safe, welcoming home
Accompany youth to appointments, activities, and community outings
What You Bring
A relevant two-year diploma, or a comparable mix of education and experience
Knowledge of attachment-based, relationship-focused, and trauma-informed practices
At least two years of experience in social or human services (or equivalent)
Strong documentation and computer skills
Clear and professional verbal/written communication
Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's licence (or equivalent)
Clean driving abstract
FOODSAFE Level 1
First Aid Level 1 with CPR
Approved Criminal Record Check through the Centralized Screening HUB
Experience supporting vulnerable populations or behavioural challenges is an asset
