Job Description

Kii Kinaahk Village, Formerly Edwards Manor and Southwinds is a harm reduction based housing program operated by Sask Native Rentals, Prairie Harm Reduction and Saskatoon Crisis Intervention Services. The program strives to provide supported living for individuals who use substances in our community, focusing on creating safe and respectful housing.

Support Staff will perform several tasks within a team structure, acting as participants' role models and mentors. Responsibilities include:
- provide supervision within the building, enforcing policies and procedures
- provide a safe space for tenants to engage with support staff and one another, fostering a sense of belonging
- support tenants through connection to activities and cultural activities
- act as a role model and mentor
- provide informal, supportive counselling and crisis management
- assist tenants in creating and achieving goals
- maintain all reporting requirements
- respond to behaviours and incidents that put the building's tenants, employees and others at risk
- report any damages within the building and suites to the Supervisor
- cleaning and maintaining of the community room
- maintaining all documentation as required
- ensure that tenants are supported by implementing the harm reduction principles
- work with all supports working with tenants
- other duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.75 per hour
