Mortgage Underwriter If you consider yourself to be a Rockstar underwriter we would like to have a conversation with you! The Underwriter role is a key member of our team and extremely valuable to our high touch process. This role will manage deal placement and conditions for a minimum of 20 LIVE Files each month with a goal to manage 25-30 LIVE Files each month. Our team has a very detail-oriented system that requires our underwriters to work on specific aspects of each file while being supported by a team. The following attributes are required:

• Valid, up to date BCFSA Mortgage Broker licensing is required, Alberta Licensing is an additional asset.
• Require a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lender or Mortgage Broker Underwriter. (References Required)
• Handle all underwriting and lender communication for a high producing mortgage company
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members is very important
• Knowledge of underwriting & lender policies
• Expertise in alternative, private and construction financing would be an asset
• Strong understanding of technology
• Able to adapt to change and evolve with a growing company
• Strong work ethic and organization attributes with self administration skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong task & time management
• Able to handle administrative duties in an organized, efficient and accurate manner
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness for personal development

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Additional Time during busy seasons

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
• Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fraser Valley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• underwriting: 2 years (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year Benefits:
