What You'll Do
Hardware Coordination
Review hardware orders for accuracy, completeness, and compatibility with project specifications.
Track and maintain inventory levels of residential hardware (locks, handles, hinges, accessories, etc.).
Stage and label hardware for each job, ensuring installers receive complete and organized packages.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods.
Maintain accurate records in inventory and job management systems.
Provide hardware support to sales staff and assist with quoting when necessary.
Shipping & Receiving
Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
Prepare and stage outgoing shipments for customer orders, installers, or deliveries.
Schedule and coordinate deliveries with drivers and subcontractors.
Ensure packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documents are accurate and properly filed.
Operational Support
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Perform regular cycle counts and assist with quarterly inventory audits.
Assist with shop organization, bin labeling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the operations team to meet timelines and exceed client expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience in hardware, construction supply, or building materials is an asset.
Knowledge of door and window hardware preferred but not required; willing to train.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills; experience with inventory management software is an asset.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Physically capable of lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
