Residential Field Inspector - Vancouver Island

Insurance Loss Control

Description

Under contract to InspekTech and working from your home office you will travel to inspection sites as they are assigned in your home or a given region. Workloads can be discussed based on your set-up and our needs for a given area(s). Field Inspector (FI) assignments are on-call and subject to our clients broad regional requirements. We do not encourage prospective FI's to be dependent on full-time work with InspekTech. Only prospective FI's who can comfortably financially manage the benefits of on-call type assignment loads should apply (i.e. combinations of very busy or light work periods).

We have an

immediate opening for an experienced Field Inspector in Insurance Loss Control.

Ideally you live in the vicinity of

Nanaimo-Parksville

. Your service area would be:

(a) Nanaimo down to Duncan.

(b) Nanaimo north up to top of Island.

(c) Gulf Islands

(d) Westcoast (Port Alberni, Ucluelet, Tofino).

Pay

Pay is approx. $30/hr-$45/hr as a fixed/per file payment metric based on an average experienced Residential Field Inspector. Fuel reimbursements and per diems apply over and above baseline pay depending on file locations.

Two Application Routes

Route #1

- If you are an experienced insurance loss control Field Inspector, an approx. 10 hour paid "InspekTech orientation" will occur (times may vary depending on level of experience). Orientation includes use of our in-house InspekField(TM) App and the InspekTech system.

Route #2

- If you are an exceptional candidate with little or even no prior insurance loss control experience but holding other designations, insurance industry experience, or transferable skills, we may consider offering you a $7,900 scholarship to the InspekTech Academy. Candidates are not required to pay for admission into the Academy program; however, all candidates must be prepared to devote at least 3 months of study and Field shadowing time. Only candidates successful in the Academy program, alongside other criteria, will be offered employment at InspekTech. Field pay commences upon successful graduation from the InspekTech Academy program and a job offer.

Our Residential Field Inspectors come from a variety of backgrounds

We ideally look for prospective FI's having all, some, or a combination of the following:

Prior Insurance Loss Control

An appraisal credential (i.e. CRA, AACI, CPPA, ASA, etc).

A background in insurance services, construction, construction management, commercial/residential inspection experience, ideally familiar with CoreLogic RCT a huge plus, government services, property management, and real estate services.
