The Residential Construction Site Superintendent will coordinate and schedule the construction of Custom Homes and Multi-Family Projects (6-10 units). This includes coordinating trades, managing material deliveries, and project management on multiple sites.

Requirements
5 or more years of experience with infill and multi-family projects including progressive project management experience
Good communication skills and ability to 'problem solve'
Critical thinking, good judgement and decision making skills
Extensive understanding of tools, materials and equipment
Knowledge of building codes and different construction techniques
Collaborative, flexible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and One Drive
Project Management Certification or Red Seal in Carpentry would be considered an asset
Responsibilities
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure budget, schedule, quality and safety standards are adhered to
Review Project file to understand specific job requirements including Blueprints, Structural Engineering and Site Service Engineering
Schedule and organize trades
Provide support to trades to ensure construction schedule is maintained
Quality Assure all stages of construction
Prepare for and schedule all inspections
Ensure trades follow Skyward Standards for quality and safety
Ensure tools, materials and equipment are supplied, in good working order and stored correctly
Identify and address issues as they occur including escalating to owner if needed
Attend weekly Meetings, Coordinate and Communicate with Skyward Team
Ensure quality control documents / checklists are followed, filled out and filed with the office
Review monthly invoices ensuring all work completed is aligned with invoices
Maintain Budget and Timeline objectives
Perform pre-occupancy inspection and ensure home is ready for possession
Participate in safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
Position Conditions
80% travel to project sites in Edmonton area, 20% office based
Valid driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle. Employees are required to use their own vehicle to travel between project sites and office
