Overview

Steel and Spruce is a small but creative renovation and design company. We're looking for someone skilled to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of experience in various carpentry applications, including finish carpentry, millwork and cabinetry. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovations and repairs, utilizing a wide array of tools and techniques. The new team member will play a key part in delivering high-quality craftsmanship on time and within scope, contributing to our reputation for creativity and excellence in the construction and renovation industry.

Duties

Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture installation with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication techniques for various tasks. Handle heavy lifting safely while performing tasks Contribute to remodeling projects by performing demolition, flooring, painting, finishing Assist with construction site cleanup and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times. Be willing to perform various tasks as required, not always related to carpentry. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Extensive background in carpentry including frame carpentry, woodworking, cabinet installation, and door hanging. Hands-on experience with drywall finishing, and flooring installation is a plus. Familiarity with restoration processes such as mold remediation and water damage repair industry standards is a plus. Knowledge of fabrication techniques using hand tools and power tools; CNC experience is a plus. Experience working on construction sites with heavy lifting requirements; ability to perform heavy physical labor is essential. Prior involvement in remodeling projects is desirable. Construction site experience across various environments including commercial or residential settings is preferred. The candidate must have a willingness to learn new skills and have a high attention to detail. The position will also require the candidate to work by themselves when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Carpentry: 3 years (preferred)
