RESIDENTIAL CARE WORKER

Full Time/Part time and Casual Positions available

ROLE

The role of the Residential Care Worker is to supervise and facilitate the daily activities of the residents in relation to their individual goals and plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and nights Supervise and assist individuals with intellectual disabilities Maintain a safe and sanitary environment Ability to teach and practice the skills of daily living Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management Excellent problem solving, organizational and decision-making skills required Excellent conflict resolution skills Demonstrate flexibility and creativity Household maintenance, laundry and meal planning/preparation. Adhere to EPIC/SMILE Residential Duty Roster Adhere to EPIC/SMILE's Policies and Procedures Adhere to Manitoba Residential Care Licensing Manual

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be minimum 18 years of age Must possess a Class 5 Driver's License and be able to drive anywhere Communication in English, both written and verbal French would be an asset but not necessary Must possess Adult Abuse Registry Check Must possess Criminal Record Check Must possess St. John's Emergency First Aid or equivalent Must be able to maintain good positive working relations with others

WAGES

As per union agreement Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis at EPIC/SMILE office located at 112 St. Malo Street, St. Malo Manitoba.
