Trailblazers Life Choices Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to providing services for adults living with disabilities. Trailblazer currently serves more than 90 people in supported employment, volunteering, work experience, and recreation activities all with the goal of community inclusion.

Overall Responsibility:



Residential

Assistant Coordinator (RAC)

is responsible for maintaining a safe home environment while providing ongoing direct support of the participants of the residential program; ensuring all program requirements are consistently being met. This includes participating in the ongoing planning, monitoring and communication of activities of the program participants that are in relation to each participant's program planning documents.

Job Duties & Responsibilities



Duties:



Promoting and overseeing all services are oriented to the goals and needs of the individuals and employees we support in conjunction with the mission statement, philosophy, values and policies of Trailblazer Life Choices Inc. Supervise teaching and assisting individuals and staff Schedule and attend individual's appointments. Administering and evaluating participants needs Create and maintain Staff and individual's schedules. Responsible for IPPS/ Financial plans/Licensing reviews Maintain client and house records/ paperwork. Individuals banking Ability to work with a variety of care givers included CSW/ Parents /day programs Assist with performance evaluations Available for on call hours when scheduled

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE



Optimally, three years' experience in a related role and supporting individuals with disabilities, demonstrating empathy an developing practical, supportive and effective working relationships. Previous, residential experience and understanding of Manitoba licensing legislation, regulations and standards, as well as, planning, organizational and administrative skills. Satisfactory Child and Adult Abuse Registry check, satisfactory Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector search) and a satisfactory Drivers' abstract and license. Certification of First Aid Level 1 and NVCI Certificate. The ability to attend work regularly as scheduled or requested. Demonstrated language, writing, comprehension skills. Demonstrate cultural knowledge competence and participate in agency training for development. A safe and reliable vehicle and proof of appropriate insurance on vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
