THE OPPORTUNITY We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an Architectural Technologist to join our growing in-house renovation and new homes team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work side-by-side with the Liptak family, other project managers, designers, estimators, and project consultants in an environment that fosters collaboration and creativity. WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL BE DOING \xc2\xb7 Measuring and completing as-build drawings \xc2\xb7 Complete the building permit drawings as per OBC while verifying all structural details \xc2\xb7 Effectively multi-task, following the OakWood process, and managing your time \xc2\xb7 Liaise with other OakWood departments and team members to ensure quality and continuity at all stages of the project \xc2\xb7 Liaise with the City of Ottawa and Engineers to obtain Minor Variances and permits WHAT WE\xe2\x80\x99RE LOOKING FOR \xc2\xb7 Experience in residential design \xc2\xb7 You have a thorough understanding of construction specifications within the industry \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of the local building codes and wood frame construction \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills and an ability to get your great ideas across quickly and clearly \xc2\xb7 Have an active BCIN (Building Code Identification Number) or are willing to get one \xc2\xb7 Proficient in Revit, scheduling software, Excel, Word & Outlook \xc2\xb7 Graduate in an Architectural Technology program \xc2\xb7 Someone who revels in a fast paced, dynamic environment and has a thirst to always be learning \xc2\xb7 A team player who\xe2\x80\x99s always asking, \xe2\x80\x9cwhat can I do to help?\xe2\x80\x9d WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL MAKE There\xe2\x80\x99s no limits on your income potential.
