Resident Resource Coordinator, College of Medicine
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Resident Wellness Coordinator (Non-academic support) is responsible for the non-academic support across the PGME program. This position is within the PGME domain that will assist residents in coping with professional and personal challenges they may encounter by providing individual resident support, accommodations, access/referral to counseling, financial advising, student loans and other resources for residents while developing proactive strategies and workshops around health and wellness issues and career transitions. The position is responsible for providing accurate and timely advice to the Associate Dean, PGME Committee, and Program Directors on continuing and emergent issues with respect to resident wellbeing.
NATURE OF WORK: Reporting to the Associate Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education and the PGME Manger this position will establish and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders such as residents, faculty, departments and external agencies. The incumbent will work within a team as well as independently. The position requires the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing deadlines and multiple tasks. All work is to be in line with applicable accrediting bodies' standards and within College of Medicine and University policies and procedures. Some travel within the province may be required.
