WE'RE HIRING: Resident Property Maintenance Person

Live-in Position | Full-Time | On-Call for After-Hours Emergencies

The South Thompson Inn & Conference Centre is seeking a

reliable, hands-on, and experienced Property Maintenance Person

to join our team. This

includes on-site accommodations and requires availability

for after-hours, on-call maintenance emergencies

About the Role:

As our Resident Maintenance Person, you'll be responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of the Inn's buildings, equipment, and beautiful riverside property. You'll ensure everything is safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests -- both day-to-day and in urgent situations.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, etc.) Respond to urgent repair requests and on-call issues after hours Maintain exterior areas including landscaping, walkways, snow removal, etc. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, equipment, and common areas Coordinate with external contractors when needed Keep accurate records of maintenance work and supplies

Requirements:

Previous experience in building/property maintenance or trades Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Physically capable of lifting and manual labour Must be available for on-call emergencies as a live-in team member Positive attitude and guest-service mindset
