Resident Pastor

Position Overview

The Resident Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, teaching, discipleship development, preaching, ministry oversight, and community engagement.

This role is vital to the ministry's growth, stability, and ability to serve our congregation and community effectively.

Key Responsibilities: Pastoral Leadership

Assist the Senior Pastor with preaching and teaching during services Lead Bible studies, discipleship classes, and mid-week services Guide spiritual growth initiatives among members and new believers

Pastoral Care & Counselling

Conduct home, hospital, and crisis visitations Provide spiritual counselling, prayer support, and mentorship Support members facing emotional, family, or spiritual challenges

Ministry Oversight

Coordinate ministry teams: men's fellowship, outreach teams, follow-up unit Supervise volunteers and help develop ministry leaders Assist in planning major events (revival services, conferences, retreats)

Administrative Support

Participate in leadership meetings Assist with ministry communications and planning Ensure alignment with board-approved initiatives

Qualifications

Proven pastoral or ministry leadership experience Strong preaching, teaching, and counselling skills Ability to lead and mentor volunteers High emotional and spiritual maturity Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
