We are seeking a dedicated and skilled live-in Resident Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management and maintenance. This role requires excellent supervisory skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English. The Resident Manager will maintain a safe and efficient environment for all occupants.
Duties
Manage daily operations of the building, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
Conduct regular inspections of the building's systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical components.
Oversee project management for renovations or upgrades within the facility, coordinating with vendors and contractors as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Act as the first point of contact for tenants and address their concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Assist with shovelling/snow blowing in the winter months to ensure the safety of all tenants and visitors.
Organize tenant events and schedule the use of the guest suite to foster community engagement
Clean and maintain the common areas of the building, including turning over the rental suite.
Conduct move in & move out inspections.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of building systems.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in building management or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks
Proficient in English with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Friendly, approachable, and community-oriented mindset
A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
Availability to be on-site and respond to tenant needs
