Resident Experience Coordinator, New Development: 1-year Fixed Term Contract
The Resident Experience Coordinator, New Development ensures a smooth transition of newly constructed residential buildings from Development to Operations. Serving as the liaison between construction, development, operations, and residents, this role manages post-development inspections (PDIs), tracks and resolves deficiencies, and supports warranty-related work. In addition to the technical and operational aspects, the role serves as the primary contact for residents, ensuring a seamless, professional move-in experience. This hands-on role suits someone who thrives in the field, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering high-quality homes and exceptional resident experiences. What you will do:
Post Development Inspections (PDI's)Coordinate and conduct PDIs for new residential buildings, ensuring all suites and common areas meet quality standards and are ready for turnover.
Collaborate with construction and development teams to identify, document, and track deficiencies through completion.
Act as the main contact for PDI-related matters during the transition period between Development and Operations.
Support the Operations team with pre-occupancy walkthroughs and move-in readiness.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, deficiency logs, and communication updates.
Participate in handover meetings and ensure all relevant documentation and warranty information is transferred to Operations.
Assist the team in resolving post-occupancy deficiencies reported by residents and ensure prompt corrective action to maintain a high level of resident satisfaction.
Assist in coordinating contractors, trades, and consultants to address outstanding items.
Support warranty-related inspections and service requests as required.
Uphold brand standards and ensure the final product aligns with company quality expectations.
Provide feedback to Development and Construction teams to improve future project design and delivery.
Resident ExperienceAct as a primary point of contact for new residents during the move-in phase, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition into their new homes.
Coordinate communication between residents, property operations, and contractors regarding post-occupancy concerns or warranty-related issues.
Maintain professional, timely, and courteous communication with residents to uphold the company's service and quality standards.
Who we are looking for:Post-secondary education in construction management, building technology, property management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum2 years of experience in residential construction, building inspections, property operations, or customer service within the real estate or property management industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated professionalism and tact when engaging with residents, contractors, and internal teams.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficient in inspection reporting and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications is an asset.
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
