Job Description

The Waterford of Summerlea is an independent-living seniors' residence located in West Edmonton. We are looking for someone to fill the role of

Resident Companion

to our residents. This is a

casual position

that requires flexible availability.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

Respond to the emergency pull cords located in each resident's suite should assistance be required Document all incidents, call 911 and contact family when needed
Requirements for this position are as follows:

First Aid ticket and/or CPR training is preferred Must have strong communication skills (written & verbal) Excellent record-keeping skills, a strong ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations, and highly organized
The suitable candidate is friendly, empathetic to seniors' needs, and able to remain calm and take immediate action in the event of a fire alarm or emergency situation.

Note: a clean criminal record check is required for this position.
