About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Resident Clubhouse Housekeeping & Operations Manager to lead the daily operations, maintenance, and cleanliness of our recreational clubhouse within a vibrant multi-strata community in Delta, BC. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all shared amenities--including guest suites, pool, gym, gymnasium, and multipurpose rooms--are maintained to hotel-level standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation.

The successful candidate will manage part-time housekeeping and maintenance staff, ensuring consistent service quality through training, supervision, and performance monitoring. The role also includes oversight of sanitation protocols, inventory management, and coordination with external contractors for specialized services.

A modern two-bedroom, self-contained on-site apartment is available to the successful candidate at below-market rent.



Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping & Sanitation Management

Establish and maintain hotel-grade cleaning and sanitation standards across all clubhouse areas. Oversee and participate in daily cleaning of guest suites, washrooms, gym, pool area, and common spaces. Implement deep-cleaning schedules, disinfection procedures, and quality assurance checks. Train and supervise part-time staff in proper cleaning methods, use of equipment, chemical handling, and safety protocols. Inspect rooms and facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and readiness for resident use. Maintain detailed cleaning logs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Facility Maintenance & Operations

Perform routine inspections and minor repairs (lighting, fixtures, doors, pool systems, etc.). Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs, HVAC, pest control, and specialized maintenance. Oversee pool operations (testing, chemical balance, and safety checks) during the May-October season. Completion of the pool operator course will be required but will be paid for by the clubhouse. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and maintenance materials; reorder as needed. Prepare multipurpose rooms and guest suites for resident use and ensure smooth turnover between bookings.
Staff Training & Supervision

Provide hands-on training for staff in cleaning techniques, sanitation, and resident service. Develop clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) for housekeeping and maintenance tasks. Monitor work quality and provide feedback and guidance to maintain service standards. Foster a positive, respectful work environment that values teamwork and professionalism.
Resident Service & Communication

Serve as the on-site contact for residents using clubhouse facilities. Communicate courteously and effectively with homeowners, addressing inquiries or concerns promptly. Enforce clubhouse rules and booking guidelines with professionalism and tact. Record maintenance issues, incidents, and service requests for Council review.
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in housekeeping, hospitality operations, or facility management. Proven ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff. Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, sanitation protocols, and health regulations. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic mechanical aptitude; able to perform light maintenance and operate cleaning equipment safely. Good organizational and time management skills; comfortable working independently. Basic computer literacy for logging maintenance reports and communications. Experience in hotel, strata, or residential facility settings preferred. Advanced English speaking is required Must be a permanent resident of Canada or Canadian citizen.
Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site position with residence below market accommodation provided. Seasonal work during busy summer pool time, may require weekend work days with time off during the week. Uniform or dress code may apply to maintain a professional appearance.
