Resident Care Worker - Full Time

Mission Services of London (MSL) is a Christian faith-based, not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to supporting individuals in need and fostering hope, stability, and opportunity in the London community.

We are currently seeking a caring and committed Resident Care Worker for a full-time night shift position at our Men's Mission shelter.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Registration of new and returning clients. Orientation of new clients. Monitoring (i.e.: conflict intervention and resolution, security, etc.) and support (i.e.: responding to the needs of residents, crisis intervention, listening, etc.). Administration of medications. Appropriate and accurate record keeping. Respond to incoming phone calls and inquiries at the front door by transferring calls/inquiries appropriately or providing direct service. Greet all visitors and oversee the sign-in / sign-out process. Communicate concerns or incidents promptly to the Supervisor and/or Senior RCW. Distribution and proper record keeping of the Guest Meal program.

Qualifications:

Graduate of Secondary School (Community College preferred) Experience working within a social service agency Physically fit, as some lifting may be required (20+ lbs.) Strong verbal and written communication skills Good listening skills Flexibility and a willingness to respond to the needs of those in the shelter Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team Current First Aid/CPR and CPI certificates (asset) Second language skills (asset)

Position Details:

Full Time - Night Shift (11:00 pm - 07:00 am)
