We are a lovely intimate size with only 48 suites, permitting time to really get to know our Residents and their families.
The Resident Care Attendant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Shower assistance/personal care
Assist Dining Attendant in the dining room over meal time
Fold laundry as required, store linens in the appropriate locations.
Clean and sanitize cleaning and laundry equipment, reporting any concerns or damaged equipment to the appropriate manager.
Work as part of a team in support of one another and our Residents.
Resident Services Attendant administrative duties
Ability to speak, read and write in English. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and to complete simple arithmetic calculations.
Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, and lifting at it pertains to resident care and housekeeping duties.
Completion of a TB Test, and a Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search as per the Retirement Homes Act.
Evening Resident Care Attendant shifts 4:30pm-11pm.
The ideal candidate must also be available to cover Night Housekeeping shifts as needed.
The Night Housekeeper responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Cleaning, dusting, sanitizing Residence common areas.
Clean suites vacated by Residents and prepare suites for incoming Residents.
Collect refuse from throughout the community and properly dispose or recycle.
Wash and dry laundry following established laundry procedures.
Clean and sanitize cleaning and laundry equipment, reporting any concerns or damaged equipment to the appropriate manager.
Work as part of a team in support of one another and our Residents.
Housekeeper Qualifications Include:
Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a Retirement Home setting.
Ability to speak, read and write in English. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and to complete simple arithmetic calculations.
Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, and lifting at it pertains to laundry and housekeeping.
Completion of a TB Test, and a Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search as per the Retirement Homes Act.
Night shifts 11am - 7pm
Minimum 12 hours biweekly including every second weekend.
