Position Details

Providing Leadership:
- Setting a high standard of conduct for other residents to follow
- Developing a rapport with residents

Completing On-Call Shifts:
- After hours emergencies (lock-outs, alarms, noise complaints, maintenance)
- Enforcing Residence policies as set in the Residence Handbook
- Reporting incidents through the Guardian Reporting system in a timely manner

Programming:
- Assisting with events organized by Residence Life
- Planning and hosting events for assigned Residence Community
- Promoting social, educational, athletic, and wellness-based activities
- Preparation of bulletin boards, distribution of materials (i.e. Welcome Letters, newsletters)

Team Membership:
- Participating in monthly Residence Assistant meetings
- Participating in meetings with supervisor as required
- Completing administrative duties as required
Required Qualifications

- Lethbridge College student in good academic standing (minimum 1.5 GPA)
- Valid driver\'s license
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications

- At least one semester living in Lethbridge College Residence
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow procedures
- Demonstrate confidence and the ability to enforce residence policies and report incidents
- Creative and able to organize and execute an event/activity plan
- Take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Salary $323.49 per 4 on-call shifts; AUPE Class Level 1, Step 1 $15.81
