Reporting to the Manager, Reservoir Optimization FCCL, your primary role will be to analyze well and reservoir operating data and implement specific strategies to improve reservoir performance. Members of the Reservoir Optimization team are tasked with optimizing a group of pads while working with a multi-disciplinary team of geoscientists and production engineers. As a supplement to traditional analysis methods, reservoir simulation and history matching work will be required to properly evaluate some of the opportunities. In addition to the optimization responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to support reservoir optimization projects and studies such as operating strategy advancements, technology progression, field trials, etc.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:Work with Pad Teams of geoscientists and production engineers to action opportunities to improve conformance, reduce SOR, increase production and recovery, and minimize the impacts of bottom water and thief zonesCoordinate performance evaluations on assigned base pads, including production comparisons to forecasts, supervising recovery over time, and sharing knowledge of key observations and findingsSupport the development and history match of models to understand and forecast pad performance, identifying and evaluating potential beneficial optimization opportunities such as operating strategy refinement, well placement, SOR management, and ramp-down or blowdown strategiesEvaluate redrill opportunities on assigned operating pads, developing forecasts and economic evaluations to support those candidatesProvide feedback and validate base pad forecasts on assigned operating padsIdentify and advance studies and field trials to optimize performance continuously, supporting operating strategy advancement and technology progression.
