Research/accessibility Assistant For Healthcare And Pharmaceutical Management Student

Job Description

Assist a University of Toronto Employee and Queen's University Distance Student with all aspects of their academic and professional work. This unique role focuses on enhancing engagement in both healthcare and research settings while deepening understanding of rare disease mechanisms, to improving patient care and outcomes. The work takes place across multiple sites, including the University of Toronto, Hospital Row and an industry placement.

Here's What You'll Do:



Support development of research proposals and grant application preparation Assist with data analysis, report writing, presentations and manuscript development Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and maintain current research knowledge Provide direct support including note-taking, typing and class assistance Attend departmental seminars, meetings, rounds and educational events Coordinate meetings and facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, researchers and trainees Participate in stakeholder engagement and community outreach activities Support knowledge translation through presentations, posters, abstracts, publications and social media

Here's What You'll Need:



Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Molecular Genetics, Physiology, Cell Biology, Health Policy, Public Health, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred Minimum one year of research and project coordination experience Experience supporting educational programs, events and workshops an asset Excellent written and oral communication abilities for both technical scientific and general audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Competency in computational and statistical analysis (R, Python, or similar platforms) Strong organizational, multitasking and time management capabilities Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively under pressure Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Creative, innovative and results-oriented mindset Demonstrated commitment to understanding and supporting equity, diversity and inclusion objectives

Additional Requirements:



First Aid Certificate (Standard First Aid & CPR C) Criminal record check and immunization records

Employment Type:



12 months (full time) with a possibility of extension A complete application should include a statement of interest and CV/Resume. Once the suitable candidate is identified, the position will commence immediately upon completion of the necessary paperwork. The position will remain open until filled.
