Duties & Responsibilities

What we're looking for...

Under the direction of the Director, Consumer, Sensory & Market Insights, the Research Technician will support data collection, analysis and reporting for market intelligence and economics research activities.

What you'll do...

Compile data from primary and secondary sources for market research scans. Support literature review development and assist in the preparation of written reports, presentations and communications of research findings to stakeholders. Support univariate and multivariate statistical analysis of research results. Share responsibility for the development, upkeep and maintenance of shared files and procedures including SOPs, templates and databases. Participate in meetings and prepare the minutes.

Qualifications

What we need from you...

BSc or undergraduate degree in market research, marketing and consumer studies, or economics 1-2 years of relevant experience in consumer and/or market research Master's degree considered an asset

Knowledge and Skills

Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting agricultural, investment, market, industry, and economic data using software such as Excel, R. Familiarity with economic modeling tools and statistical forecasting methods. Proficiency in conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis. Knowledge of economics, as it applies to agriculture and sustainability. Knowledge of value chains, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics in the agriculture and agri-food sector (desirable). Familiarity with environmental scanning and SWOT analysis (desirable).
