We are looking for a highly motivated Research Technician with demonstrated hands-on mammalian cell culture experience to join our team. How you might spend your days

Executing a variety of established protocols for high-throughput and larger scale recombinant antibody expression using mammalian cell systems on our automated expression platform Planning and executing experiments, either independently or in collaboration with your team Routine handling of mammalian cell cultures including cell line maintenance, transient transfections, freezing and thawing cells Operating and maintaining automation robots and lab instruments Collaborating with multidisciplinary teammates to solve problems, analyze, interpret and communicate data, all in an effort to meet project deliverables on time Growing your technical skill set

We'd love to hear from you if

You have demonstrated hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including transient protein expression and sterile techniques You have hands-on experience with, or an interest in learning about, molecular biology (vector design for mammalian gene expression, DNA cloning), automated liquid handlers, and/or electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) You have a BSc in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry You have impeccable attention to detail, and take pride in everything you do You have excellent documentation, organizational and communication skills You thrive in collaborative working environments, valuing teamwork and open communication, fostering a shared sense of purpose

What we offer

AbCellera's hiring range for this role is CAD $51,300 - $64,100 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
