We are hiring one person to fill the role of Station Coordinator. The successful candidate will serve as the on-site manager leading the day-to-day operations of the station.
Through collaboration with the board of directors, staff, volunteers and contractors, the Station Coordinator will:
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for staff, volunteers and station users;
Facilitate logistics for research and education groups, including scheduling and coordination of users and station facilities;
Help to facilitate and manage our in-house research programs;
Oversee staff and volunteers;
Manage organizational communications, including email, social media, website updates, and quarterly/annual public reports;
Build relationships with and support community members, partner organizations and local First Nations;
Lead outreach and education activities, including presentations, tours, and events;
Work as part of a collaborative team to organize training and workshops as needed;
Support administrative tasks, including grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations;
Assist in care and maintenance of gardens;
Support field research programs at the station by serving as a part-time crew member on an as-needed basis.
